Instruments
Instruments are presented  following their use in ensembles:

PIN PEAT ensemble
Instruments used mainly in the Pin Peat Ensemble:
The “Roneat Dek” xylophone is a metallophon with 21 plates                      The “Roneat Thung” xylophone consists of 
                                                                                                                                  16 hanging  bamboo plates

                                            
The “Roneat Ek”hanging xylophone consists of  21 bamboo plates            The double or quadruple reed oboe “Sralay”
                                                                                                                                   with seven playing holes,
                                                                                                                                   mostly tuned in a heptatonic scale


MAHORI ensemble
Instruments used in Mahori and other ensembles:
The “Samphoo”barrel drum, beaten with hands or sticks                               The “Skor Thom” barrel drums
                                                                                                                                   are tuned in a fourth or fifth       

                                    
The “Khim” is a hammered dulcimer analogue to the                                     The “Kong Thom”, a gong ensemble  
the Tam Tap Luc in Vietnam or the Santoor in Iran and Persia                     of 17 gongs arranged in half circle - 
                                                                                                                                 an instrument which is also famous
                                                                                                                                 in Laos and Thailand


Other Instruments used in various ensembles:

The “Takhe” is two stringed harp/zither with twelve frets                              

                                                     
The “Khloy" is a bamboo length flute with seven playing holes


The “Tro Khmer” is a two stringed fiddle which can be found
with divers names and forms allover Southeast Asia.
