The Loo Sheng

The Chinese Loo Sheng is a bamboo mouth organ.  This smaller model shown on the picture is very loud compared to it's size, but it  also astonishes the viewer/listener with simple structure.  The playing holes are  very tiny and demand a player with not too big hands (on this model).  Each pipe only sounds if the playing hole is closed. Unlike with other mouthorgans  there is no drone pipe sounding through all time you play it.  Some Loo Sheng might reach a size of over two meters.
